1. Stiefel Theatre
Originallynamed the Fox-Watson Theatre, it opened on May 19, 1931, and served as the area’s movie palace Until 1987. The first movie debut for the theatre was “Not Exactly Gentlemen.” The theatre was then offered to the city and sat vacant for
some time. Eventually reopening in 2008 it became a venue for national touring acts like BB King, Merle Haggard and others. Also home of the Salina Symphony, the Stiefel Theatre is an art deco masterpiece that has a great variety of acts. Situated 15minutes west of Salina, Kansas is an attraction for the whole family to enjoy. Bustling with a variety of animal life the Salina Rolling Hills Zoo is sure to amaze the children and entertain the whole family. Not only an accredited zoo with over
100 species the Rolling Hills Zoo is also a 64,000 square foot wildlife museum and each admission grants access to both.Born in the80’s by the purchase of private land by local business owner, Charlie Walker Rolling Hills Ranch came to life. Beginning with a few draft animals, eventually Charlie added more exotic animals the attraction boomed as the local
population became more interested. It was then that Charlie believed the area would be served to have a wildlife park to enjoy.Breakingaway from the ranch in 1995 the exotic portion of animals were used to form the Rolling Hills Refuge Wildlife Conservation Center. Eventually the zoo was built and opened to the public in 1999. Guests get to view these animals in natural
